Bootlegging Arrest in Clay County

(London, KY) - On Friday 03-14-2008 the Kentucky State Police and the Clay County Sheriff's Department investigated a complaint of bootlegging at 3537 Highway 472 in Clay County.

Upon arrival an undercover officer made a purchase of alcoholic beverages. Dianna Turner, 57, of Manchester was arrested and charged with Illegal Sale/Give Alcohol in a Dry Territory, 1ST Offense. Also, arrested in the incident, charged with Illegal Possession of Alcohol in a Dry Territory, was Richard Turner, 34, of Manchester.

Officers seized a total of 595 cans of Beer and 69 bottles of Liquor.

Trooper Josh Wilson is leading the investigation and was assisted by officers of the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
