Emergency Fire Fighter Arrested for Arson

(Barbourville, KY) - On 11/06/2008 at 4:00 p.m., Kentucky State Police Arson Investigators from Post 10 Harlan and Post 12 Frankfort arrested James Adam Yeager, age 20 of Gray, KY. Detective Josh Bunch and Detective Kevin Dunn received a tip from the Kentucky Division of Forestry about a subject that was setting wild land fires in Knox County. After further investigation, it was found that Mr. Yeager was an emergency fire fighter for the Kentucky Division of Forestry and he was allegedly setting the fires in the Coldstone community of Knox County. Mr. Yeager was charged with one count of Wild Land Arson, a class "D" felony and was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. Assisting with the investigation was Trooper Shane Jacobs of Post 10 Harlan. Due to the high arson rate at this time of year, the Kentucky State Police has stepped up enforcement to combat arson related crimes.
