Fakes, KY Man Dies as a Result of Home Invasion and Assault

(Harlan, KY) - On 1/22/2008 at 9:20 p.m. William Taylor age 91 of Frakes, KY, passed away at the University of Tennessee Medical Center due to complications from the injuries he sustained in a home invasion and assault at his residence on 1/15/08. Mr. Taylor's body has been sent to the medical examiners office in Frankfort, KY for an autopsy. The status of this case has been changed to a murder investigation being conducted by Detective Mitchell Williams Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan. (FRAKES, KY) On 1/15/2008 at 01:00 a.m., an unknown subject invaded the residence of William Taylor, age 91 of Frakes, KY, and assaulted Mr. Taylor. The subject(s) then robbed Mr. Taylor and fled the scene. Due to the severe injuries sustained by Mr. Taylor during the robbery, Mr. Taylor was flown out to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he is in ICU. Trooper Tyson Lawson Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan is investigating this incident.
