Arrest Made in the Armed Robbery Investigation in Pike County

(Pikeville, KY) - Update reference armed robbery at Valley IGA, in the Virgie area of Pike County, Saturday December 29th, the suspect was arrested by Sgt Darren Stapleton on December 30 around 4:00pm. This incident is still under investigation by Trooper Gary Sykes. Due to ongoing investigation no names are being released at this time.

(Pikeville, KY) - Post 9 received a call from a clerk at the Valley IGA in the Virgie Community of Pike County. She advised a male subject wearing a ski mask armed with a small hand gun came into the store and demanded money. The subject was able to leave the store with undetermined amount in cash. Subject left in a blue Dodge Neon. This incident is still under investigation by Trooper Gary Sykes.
