Fatal Crash on ST HWY 194 E in Pike County

(Pikeville, KY) - Patricia Dotson was driving a 1998 Chevy Monte Carlo and was traveling west on ST HWY 194 E and crossed the center line hitting Shirley Honaker's 2002 Chevy Trail Blazer and occupied by two passengers Helen Smith and Ethel Chambers.

Ms. Dotson was transported to Williamson Memorial where she was treated and released. Ms. Honaker and Ms. Smith and Ms. Chambers were transported to South Williamson ARH. Both Ms. Smith and Ms. Chambers were air lifted to UK Hospital in Lexington. Helen Smith, was pronounced dead on December 4,2007 by Fayette County Medical Examiner Sarah Davis.

Patricia Dotson was charged with DUI, Assault 1st, and Murder. Patricia Dotson is lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.

This crash is still under investigation by Trooper Chris Phillips. Trooper Phillips was assisted at the scene by DHP Ambulance and Phelps Fire Department.
