Fatal Motorcycle Crash on KY 292 in Pike County

(Pikeville, KY) - On October 20, Post 9 received a 911 call of a motorcycle accident on KY 292 at Aflex in Pike County. The operator of the motorcycle, Larry Fields, lost control of the motorcycle, exited the roadway and struck a tree. Mr. Fields was then thrown from the motorcycle and struck his head on a rock. Mr. Fields was transported by Healthnet to St Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. Mr. Fields was pronounced dead by the WV Medical Examiner. Accident is still under investigation by Trooper Chris Phillips.
