Death Investigation and Arrest in Magoffin County

(Pikeville, KY) - On Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at 11:29 AM Kentucky State Police Trooper Tim Austin responded to Scotts Branch in Magoffin County to assist the Magoffin County Sheriffs Department on an alleged shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers found 47 year old Claude Edward Bailey deceased from a single gunshot wound. Mr. Bailey was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Brian Parker and was transported to the Magoffin County Coroners Office. An autopsy is scheduled.

Terry Paul Patrick was arrested on First Degree Murder Charges and transported to the Big Sandy Detention Center. Molly Patrick was arrested on Alcohol Related Charges and Disorderly Conduct she was also transported to the Big Sandy Detention Center.

The death is being investigated by Detective Dwayne Price of the Kentucky State Police.
