Fatal Collision on US 23 in Floyd County

(Pikeville, KY) - Darryl G. Moore was operating a 2000 Ford pickup on U S 23 at Eastpoint in Floyd County when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the guardrail on the northbound side of US 23 and then ran off the roadway and struck a rock cliff. Mr. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner's Office. Two Passengers in the vehicle were transported to Highlands Regional Medical Center and later flown to Cabell Hunington Medical Center.
