KSP Post 9 Under New Command

(Pikeville, KY)- Kentucky State Police Post 9-Pikeville would like to introduce our newest Post Commander On August 1, 2007 Captain Leslie Gannon, a 17 year veteran, assumed command of the Pikeville Post of the Kentucky State Police. Captain Gannon is a native of Belfry, KY and is the first female Post Commander at Pikeville.

After graduating the KSP Academy in 1990 Captain Gannon began her career working at the Pikeville Post where she worked as both a Trooper and Detective in Floyd County. In 1996 she left Pikeville working at multiple locations across the Commonwealth to include the Forensic Laboratory as the Commander and the Kentucky State Police Academy as a Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain. Most recently Captain Gannon served as the Commander of the Madisonville Post for the last three years.
