Fatal Crash on 460 at Draffin, KY

(Pikeville, Ky.) - At approximately 1400 today, Post 9 received a call of a single vehicle accident on US 460 at Draffin, KY. A vehicle operated by Kirby Joseph Senters, was traveling east on US 460 when the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. Mr. Senters was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts. The passenger in Unit 1, a 6 YOA child, was transported by Wings Aeromedical Service to Holstein Valley Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. The collision is still under investigation by Trooper Melissa Hampton. She was assisted at the scene by Elkhorn City Ambulance Service, Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement and Ferrells Creek Fire Department.
