Assault Investigation and Arrest in Pike County

(Pikeville, KY) - On January 30, 2007 at approximately 4:24 am Kentucky State Police Post 9-Pikeville received a call from the Pikeville Medical Center regarding a stabbing that ocurred at a residence on Island Creek Road in the Pikeville community of Pike County.

Charles Worrix had been taken to the Pikeville Medical Center by a neighbor after being involved in an altercation at his residence. Charles Worrix and his brother Timothy Worrix, 28 years of age, were involved in an altercation at their residence on the Right Fork of Island Creek. During the altercation Timothy Worrix stabbed Charles Worrix.

After responding to the hospital, Troopers and Detectives went to the residence and arrested Timothy Worrix and Jill Roberts. Worrix is charged with Assault 1st and Tampering with Evidence. Roberts, 26 years of age, is charged with Tampering with Evidence. Both suspects are lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.

The incident remains under investigation by Detective Eddie Crum.
