Estill County Escapee Investigation

(Richmond, KY) - At 1205 p.m. on 10/15/2007 the Estill County Dispatch contacted Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, in regards to an inmate who escaped custody. The inmate, Larry E. Arvin was being returned to the Estill County Jail after a doctors appointment. Upon his removal from the vehicle, Mr. Arvin fled on foot and was last seen running into a wooded area behind Court Street. Mr. Arvin was restrained with handcuffs and leg shackles at the time of the escape. Mr. Arvin was being held on a bench warrant for Receiving Stolen Property and Burglary charges. Mr. Arvin is described as a white male, 5' 8" in height, weighs 120 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 32 years old. He was wearing a white t-shirt and grey sweat pants. A KSP tracking K-9 is assisting in the search for Larry Arvin.
