Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond High Collision Roadways
(Richmond, KY) - Through the use of crash data gathered statewide, the Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, has identified the following high vehicle collision roadways in our eleven county District. The Kentucky State Police will use directed patrols on these roadways to reduce collisions and injuries through increased enforcement of the following violations: speeding, failure to yield right-of-way, disregarding traffic control devices, following too closely, speeding in a work zone, driving under the influence and failure to wear seat belts. Other contributing factors in these high collision areas are driver inattention, driving too fast for road conditions and not having the vehicle under proper control. The Kentucky State Police would ask the public to contact us if they observe any reckless operation of a motor vehicle, suspected intoxicated drivers, or any unsafe conditions, human or environmental, that may create hazardous conditions upon the roadway.
