Robbery and Assault Investigation in Lincoln County

(RICHMOND, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond, is currently investigating an assault and robbery that occurred last night at the Stanford Wal Mart.
Through investigation, it was determined that the victim, an adult female, was leaving the store after making some purchases. The suspect followed the victim outside, where he suddenly shoved her to the ground causing injury. The suspect then grabbed the victm´s purse and fled to a waiting vehicle , where he jumped into the passenger side. The vehicle then left the area in an unknown direction of travel.
The suspect vehicle is described as a small, late model, cream colored car. The robbery suspect is described as a white male, 5´10" to 6´ in height and weighing between 170 -200 lbs. The suspect has a tattoo of a cross on his left arm and another tattoo on his right shoulder that appears to be writing. He was wearing a white tank top with blue shorts and sandal with socks. There is no description available for the suspect who drove the getaway vehicle.
The victim was transported to the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, where she was treated and released. The Kentucky State Police is currently reviewing store surveillance footage in an attempt to identify the suspect(s). Pictures will be released to the public when they become available. A similar incident also occured at the Danville Wal Mart on the same night.
