Double Fatal Collision on AA Highway in Bracken County

(Dry Ridge, KY) - At approximately 01:40 a.m. this morning (December 7, 2007), Kentucky State Police Trooper Jerry Fieger was dispatched to the scene of a one vehicle crash 2.5 miles South of Augusta on the AA Highway. Upon arrival he discovered two persons had succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The preliminary investigation reveals Thomas E Black was operating a 1992 Chevrolet Blazer North on the AA highway when he lost control resulting in the vehicle overturning. Both passengers (Jazelle M. Berry & Don A. Earlywine) were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bracken County Coroner, John Parker. The driver was wearing his safety belt and received minor injuries. He did not require medical treatment.

At this time we do not anticipate any criminal charges to be filed as a result of the crash.

The crash is still under investigation by Trooper Fieger.
