Operation "Fall Harvest" Round-Up of Drug Dealers in Grant County

(Dry Ridge, KY) - Troopers and Detectives from Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge have completed a round-up of numerous drug dealers in Grant County. Officers set out early Thursday morning armed with indictment warrants on 20 persons with charges ranging across the gamut from trafficking in marijuana on up to felonious trafficking of crack cocaine and heroin.
The arrests are a result of a number of investigations over a one year period in which undercover narcotics officers made controlled buys of illegal substances from the 20 persons indicted by a Grant County Grand Jury on Wednesday. During the year-long investigation, KSP detectives conducted undercover buys and seized controlled substances to include the following:
- marijuana
- hydrocodone pills
- Vicodan
- Oxycodone
- Fentanyl
- Methadone
- Percocet pills
- Oxycontin
- morphine
- powder cocaine
- crack cocaine
- heroin
Detectives also purchased illegally trafficked firearms during the investigation.

*Abner was charged additionally with Cultivation of Marijuana under 5 plants and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia based on contraband seized during service of the arrest warrant.

Under Kentucky Law, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree is a class C felony for a first offense and a class B felony for a second or subsequent offense. A class C felony is punishable by a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in a penitentiary and a fine of up to $10,000.
Under Kentucky Law, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd degree is a class D felony for a first offense and a class C felony for a second or subsequent offense. A class D felony is punishable by a maximum sentence of up to 5 years in a penitentiary and a fine of up to $10,000.
Trafficking a Schedule I Controlled Substance In or Near a School is a class D felony.
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree is a class D felony.
All arrested persons were taken to the Grant County Detention Center after processing at Post 6. Persons indicted but not yet apprehended will be entered as wanted and the Kentucky State Police will continue to pursue them.
