Date of News Release: 11/11/2007

(Dry Ridge, KY) - Kentucky State Police, Post 6, Dry Ridge, responding to a complaint of a gasoline drive off from the Shell gas station in Butler, KY, attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2007 Ford Focus operated by Mary K. Hoerlein-Venneman of Butler at 1504 hours.

Mrs. Hoerlein-Venneman failed to yield to Trooper Scott Lengle and led Trooper Lengle on a low speed pursuit through Pendleton County and into Campbell County. The pursuit lasted approximately 45 minutes. Once into Campbell County, the fleeing vehicle struck an Alexandria Police Department Cruiser and continued northbound on US 27.
