Update on Escapee from Campbell County Detention Center

(Dry Ridge, KY) -Daniel Steven Jahnke, wanted by the Kentucky State Police for an escape from the Campbell County Detention Center, was apprehended on Thursday, October 25. Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, agents of the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) of the U.S. Marshals Service located Jahnke at 1790 Grand Ave in Cincinnati. Jahnke was arrested around 3 p.m. without incident and taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
Jahnke was serving a sentence for Receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument and Violation of Parole. He will now face an additional charge of Escape 2nd degree in Campbell County. Jahnke, 23, of Newport, escaped from the facility at 10:43 p.m. on October 19 after kicking open a gate in the kitchen area and then fleeing.
(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge are investigating an escape from the Campbell County Detention Center. Daniel Steven Jahnke, 23, of Newport, escaped from the facility at 10:43 p.m. on Friday night after kicking open a gate in the kitchen area and then fleeing. His probable destination is unknown.
Mr. Jahnke is a white male, approximately 6'1" in height, 180 lbs with short black hair and fair skin. He has brown eyes. He also has a large cross tattoo on his upper right arm. Mr. Jahnke was serving a sentence for receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument and Violation of Parole.
