Death Investigation in Grant County

(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police are continuing a death investigation resulting from a fight that occurred outside a residence located at 220 Sherman Newton Road in Grant County on October 3rd at 3:55 p.m.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Bobby Perkins, 31, of Williamstown drove to the residence and engaged in a dispute with his wife, Jackie Perkins, 33, also of Williamstown and Jonathan Jackson, 30 of Williamstown. During this dispute Bobby Perkins allegedly produced a handgun and struck Jackson multiple times. Mr. Perkins also received multiple injuries during the event. The precise nature of Mr. Perkins injuries and the manner they were incurred are still under investigation. Mr. Jackson's injuries were attended to on scene by local EMS but he did not choose to be transported for medical treatment.
Bobby Perkins was taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was pronounced dead by UC physicians at 2:58 a.m. on October 4, 2007.
No charges have been filed. The case remains under investigation by Trooper Chad Mills and other investigative personnel of the Kentucky State Police.
