Rape Investigation and Arrest in Pendleton County

(Dry Ridge, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 6 is investigating a kidnapping and sexual assault that occurred in Pendleton County on 8/12/2007 at approximately 2324 hours. The complaint involved the victim traveling north bound on US 27 when a following vehicle flashed their lights signaling for the victim to pull over. Thinking there was a problem with her vehicle she pulled over. When she exited her vehicle, under the ruse her license plate was defective, she was forcibly grabbed and placed into the perpetrator's vehicle and driven to a remote location. She was subsequently sexually assaulted. Leads on this investigation developed leading to the arrest of Adam C. Yazell, 28 yrs old of Carlisle, KY. Mr. Yazell is charged with Rape 1st degree, Sodomy 1st degree, and kidnapping and is lodged at Bourbon County Detention Center. The investigation is being conducted by Detective Kevin D. Flick.
