Traffic Stop Results in Large Marijuana Seizure

(Campbellsburg, KY)- On April 28th, 2007, at approx. 1:50 am, KSP Post-05, Campbellsburg Trooper Tim Vinal arrested 2 hispanic males, for Trafficking in Marijuana-over 5 lbs. Tpr. Vinal had stopped their 2005 Pontiac Grand Am for a traffic violation on I-71 northbound, near the 34 milemarker. A search of the vehicle revealed approx. 30 pounds of marijuana. The driver Juan Antonio Murillo, age 28, from Tucson, Arizona, and passenger Luis Carlos Cazages Urasga, age 25, from Tijuana, Mexico, were arrested and transported to KSP Post-05, Campbellsburg. Further investigation by Post-05 and Post-06, Dry Ridge personnel led to the arrest of Gregory Isham, age 38, from Cincinnati, Ohio. KSP Det. Charlie Kelton arrested Isham in Covington, KY, and charged him with Trafficking in Marijuana-over 5-lbs. Ishams vehicle, a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, was also seized. Murillo and Urasga were lodged at the Carroll County Regional Detention Center. Isham was lodged at the Kenton County Detention Center. Tpr. Vinal and Det. Kelton were assisted by KSP Lt. Chad White, K-9 Tpr. 1st Class Larry Newton and his K-9 Riso, Tpr. Kyle Moffett, Tpr. Justin Sams, Tpr. Chris Clark, Tpr. Scott Allen, Det. Fred Scroggins.
