Arrest Made on 1998 Murder Case

(Campbellsburg, KY)- An arrest has been made in a 1998 murder, by Kentucky State Police, Post-5, Campbellsburg. KSP Det. Todd Harwood arrested Susan Jean King, white female, age 46, from Mt. Eden, Ky. She was arrested in the 2000 block of Van Buren Road, in Mt. Eden, at approx. 2:05 pm, April 5th, 2007, and charged with one count of Murder, after an indictment by the Spencer County Grand Jury.

The charge stems from a case that began on October 26th, 1998. That was the date that the victim, Kyle "Deanie" Breeden, age 40, from Shelbyville, Ky., was last seen alive, in Shelbyville. Breedens parents filed a "Missing Person" report on October 29th, 1998, with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. Breedens' body was found by fishermen, in the Kentucky River, at the Henry County-Owen County line, near the cities of Lockport and Gratz, Ky., on November 5th, 1998. There were signs of foul play and a murder investigation was launched.

King was transported to Frankfort Regional Hospital, in Frankfort, Ky., due to an unspecified medical complaint, after her arrest. She was kept overnight, for observation. King is currently lodged at the Shelby County Jail. Det. Harwood is continuing the investigation and further charges and/or suspects may be forthcoming.
