Update to Residential Burglary Investigation in Warren County, KY

Date of News Release: 12/20/2007

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) - During a two day trial that started on 12-18-2007 in Warren Circuit Court the jury handed down a guilty verdict, on all counts aforementioned. The Honorable Steve Wilson preceded in the case. On 12-19-2007, Michael Bratcher was sentenced to 5 years on the 1st count of Burglary 2nd Degree, 9 years on the 2nd count of Burglary 2nd Degree, 5 years on the T.B.U.T. O/$300, 1 year on the count of T.B.U.T. U/$300 and a $500.00 fine, 2 years on the Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, and 1 year on the last count of Criminal Mischief 1st Degree for a total sentence of 23 years.

The guilty verdict ended an 18-month investigation, which lead to numerous arrests, and the return of many stolen items back to their rightful owner, and assisted in breaking up a "Burglary Ring" in which the Bowling Green Police and Kentucky State Police have been investigating. Numerous other individuals are currently awaiting trials in this case.

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) - On 06/25/2006 Kentucky State Police investigated a residential burglary at 188 Keeneland Court in the Clayborne Farms Community of Bowling Green. During the burglary a substantial amount of electronics, jewelry, clothing and household items were taken. Also taken from the residence was a silver 2005 Mercedes, which was later recovered by KSP. When recovered the vehicle had damage consistent with a frontal impact. If you have any information about an accident involving a silver Mercedes during the time from of June 24 or 25 or if you have information of this burglary please contact the Kentucky State Police at 270-782-2010. This in an ongoing investigation.
