Injury Accident on US 31E in Hart County

(Bowling Green, KY) - William Nie was traveling southbound on US 31E as he approached the intersection of KY 1854. Immediately after passing the intersection William Nie observed two pedestrians (Gregory Maxey and Ronda Slyfield both age 37) walking in the south bound lanes. William Nie swerved in an attempt to avoid striking the two pedestrians and was unsuccessful. William Nie struck both pedestrians with the front of his vehicle. After striking pedestrians William Nie struck a parked vehicle that was parked on the side of the roadway. The two pedestrians were transported by Hart County Ems to TJ Samson Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
