October 2007 Activity Report

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Bill Payton of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of October 2007.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,275 citations of which 505 were for speeding and 1 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 103 citations for no seatbelts. Twenty-six people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 391 courtesy notices investigated 120 accidents, of which 3 were fatals, and assisted 219 motorist, while inspecting 1,712 vehicles.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,402 complaints, and opened 81 criminal cases, and made 190 criminal arrests.

Troopers also worked 145 special details and programs for October.
