Update to Fatal Crash on KY 70 in Butler County

(Bowling Green) -Garry Threlkel, succumbed to his injuries at Vanderbilt Hospital on 8/28/2007. Investigation is continuing.

(Bowling Green) - Kathy Kirby was traveling east on KY 70. Garry Threlkel was traveling west on KY 70. Kathy Kirby attempted a left hand turn on KY 411. Garry Threlkel struck Kathy Kirby in the westbound lane of travel. Garry Threlkel was ejected. Kathy Kirby and passenger (Robin Leslie) was taken by Edmonson County EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Shirley Threlkel (the passenger of Garry Threlkel's vehicle) was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt Hospital. Garry Threlkel was transported by Butler County EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green and then was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital. Investigation is continuing.
