Attempted Murder Investigation in Hart County

(Bowling Green) - On August 24, 2007 units responded to shots fired complaint at 1866 Broadford Road in Hart County. Upon arrival, Mr. Victor Long fired one round from a shotgun at Trooper White and fled into a wooded area near his residence. Warrants were obtained for the arrest of Mr. Long. Units located and arrested Mr. Long on August 25, 2007. Mr. Long was lodged in the Hart County Jail and charged with Attempted Murder (2cts), Disorderly Conduct, Possession Of Firearm By Convicted Felon, Fleeing And Evading Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Menacing.
