Stolen Vehicle & Fugitive Apprehension in Warren County

(Bowling Green) - Kentucky State Police received a call of a reckless driver on I-65 that was southbound from the 38 Mile-Marker. State Police units intercepted the vehicle around the 24 Mile-Marker and a routine inquiry into the registration of the vehicle, revealed that it was stolen on 04/05/2007 from the Chicago, Illinois area.

Units initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle around the 20 Mile-Marker on I-65 and began an investigation into the recovery of the stolen vehicle. A routine check of the driver revealed that he was a fugitive from the Springfield, Illinois area. The driver and passenger (Jacquero L Lanier and Myron L Ezell) of the vehicle were both taken into custody. Jacquero L Lanier was charged with D.U.I. 1st, No OL, Receiving Stolen Property-Vehicle, Fugitive from Another State. Myron L Ezell was charged with Receiving Stolen Property-Vehicle.

Both suspects remain lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and the vehicle was recovered and towed to await the owners to re-take possession of the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
