DUI Fatal Crash on KY 218 in Hart County

(Bowling Green) - Edwin Pierce was westbound on KY 218 and crossed the center line striking D L Bryant's vehicle head on. Both vehicles came to final rest on the roadway where Edwin Pierce was treated and transported to T J Samson Hospital and later flown to the University of Louisville Hospital due to injuries. D L Bryant was pronounced deceased by Hart County Coroner Jeff Roten. Edwin Pierce was charged with DUI 3rd Aggrivated Circumstance. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
