Felony Arrest in Butler County, KY

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - A call was received through Edmonson County Dispatch in reference to a domestic in progress in Butler County. Information gained through speaking to Edmonson County Dispatch revealed that the dispute involved a male subject identified as David Anthony had threatened his girlfriend and her daughter with a handgun and they retreated to a bedroom and locked the door.
Mr. Anthony's girlfriend then dialed 911. While Post Three Dispatchers were on the line with Edmonson County the Edmonson County Dispatcher stated that she could hear gunshots and the male subject attempting to break down the bedroom door. Based upon this information KSP Units were advised to make entry into the residence and resolve the situation. The male subject had placed several items in front of the front door and turned all the electricity in the residence off. Units were able to make entry through a rear door and make contact with the victims. The male subject attempted to break out a window and climb through. He fell to the ground still armed with the handgun and was apprehended by Post Three Units.
Mr. Anthony was offered treatment from Butler County EMS but he refused. Mr. Anthony was lodged in the Butler County Jail. Mr. Anthony was charged with Fleeing Evading Police 2ndē-Foot, Resisting Arrest, Terroristic Threatening 3rd, Wanton Endangerment 2 counts, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
