Injury Collision on KY 91 in Caldwell County

Madisonville, KY - Mr. Kyle V. Harper was operating a 1991 Oldsmobile southbound on Ky 91. The vehicle then exited the left shoulder of the roadway entering a ditch. The vehicle then struck the opposing ditch bank and became airborne for approximately 48 feet before landing. The vehicle then slid approximately 6 feet and struck a utility pole. The vehicle then rotated clockwise and came to final rest upright in a field facing north. Cause for leaving the roadway is believed to be alcohol related. Mr. Robert Heaton (Passenger) was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital. Mr. Harper was treated at Caldwell County Hospital, released, then transported to the Caldwell County Jail and charged withDUI 2nd Offense (Aggravating Circumstances), Leaving the Scene of an Accident / Failure to Render Aid. Mr. Andrew Webster (Passenger) was not treated for any injuries.
