Injury Collision on US 62 in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 12/02/2007

(Hopkins County, KY) - Mrs. Rachel A. Moore was operating her vehicle westbound on US 62. Mrs. Sierra S. McKinney was operating her vehicle eastbound on US 62. Mrs. Moore turned left onto the ramp at the intersection of US 62 and the Pennyrile Parkway in front of Mrs. McKinney's vehicle. Mrs. McKinney attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to and skidded into the right side of Mrs. Moores' vehicle . The driver and passenger side air bags were deployed in Mrs. McKinney's vehicle. Mrs. Moore sustained an injury to one of her legs. Mrs. McKinney sustained an injury to her left arm. Neither was transported to the hospital. The passenger in Mrs. McKinney's vehicle was transported to RMC by Hopkins County Ambulance Service for injuries sustained in the accident to his jaw and eyes.
