5 People Arrested on Drug Charges in Todd County

(Todd County) - Trooper Brandon McPherson was patrolling on Paul Hurt Lane in Todd County, when Tpr. McPherson smelled a strong odor of ether as he drove past a residence. Tpr. McPherson, Tpr. Jerry Knight, Tpr. Michael Manzanares, Todd County Sheriff Department, Christian County Sheriff Department and Probation and Parole Officer Mike Sears went to the residence that is owned by Billy R. Driskill to investigate the odor.

A search of the residence and property revealed several items use to manufacture methamphetamine, as well as a methamphetamine lab. Also located inside the residence were other forms of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia. Tpr. William Braden and Det. John Komar were involved in the clean up of the methamphetamine lab and disposed of it per KSP policy. All subjects at the residence were arrested without incident and lodged in the Todd County Jail.

Those arrested were:

  1. Billy R. Driskill age 43 of Elkton, KY and was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd or Greater, Offense Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Not In Proper Container With Intent To Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Trafficking Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st Offense, Possession Of A Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Or Greater Offense - Methamphetamine, Possession/Use Of A Radio That Sends/Receives Police Messages, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Or Greater Offense.
  2. Amy R. Kerr age 20 of Trenton, KY and was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession Of A Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense, Possession Of A Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 1st Offense, Possession Of Marijuana, Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Not In Proper Container With Intent To Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.
  3. Jerry L. Scott age 27 of Elkton, KY and was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Not in Proper Container with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.
  4. Jennifer L. Scott age 20 of Elkton, KY and was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Not in Proper Container with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.
  5. Patrick Larue age 36 of Hopkinsville, KY and was charged with Public Intoxication, Complicity to Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Complicity to Knowingly Possess Anhydrous Ammonia Not in Proper Container With intent To Manufacture Methamphetamine 1st Offense.
