Injury Collision on KY 481 in Hopkins County

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - Michael E. Warner age 56 of Madisonville, KY was operating a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria northbound on KY 481 (Grapevine Road) when his ringing cell phone distracted him. As he glanced down, the vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway. While he was attempting to get back on the roadway, his vehicle struck a mailbox and a ditch embankment before coming to rest. He was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Warner was not wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Derek Smith investigated the crash that occurred on October 18, 2007 at 12:11 p.m. Grapevine Fire & Rescue and the Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
