Injury Collision at the Intersection of Farmers Crossing Road and Franklin Street

(Hopkins County) - Mr. Gary Cavanaugh was traveling southbound on Franklin Street, approaching the intersecton of Farmers Crossing Road. Ms. Sarah Rushing was on Farmers Crossing Street, stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Farmers Crossing Road and Franklin Street. As Ms. Rushing entered the intersection traveling eastbound on Farmers Crossing Road, the left front bumper of her vehicle made contact with the front bumper of Mr. Cavanaugh's pickup. The impact of the collision then caused Mr. Cavanaugh's truck to skid off the eastbound shoulder of Franklin Street, thereby causing the front bumper of his pickup to make contact with a utility pole. Mr. Cavanaugh was treated at the scene and transported to Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained. Ms. Rushing and the other two occupants were uninjured, and refused medical treatment.
