Injury Collision on KY 601 Near Greenville, KY

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - David Maddox age 19 of Powderly, KY was operating a 1992 Buick southbound on KY 601 approximately 5 miles north of Greenville when it appears that he fell asleep. The vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway and traveled off an embankment. The vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned. It came to rest on its top and caught fire. Mr. Maddox was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Nathan Knight investigated the crash that occurred on October 2, 2007 at 1:50 p.m. The Greenville Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
