Felony Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 09/27/2007

(Hopkins County) - On Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at approximately 9:28 p.m., Trooper Dan Morck conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on the Pennyrile Parkway. Consent to search was granted. Upon searching the vehicle, Trooper Morck located 5 pounds of marijuana. The subject's vehicle was seized along with $1300.00 in cash. Mr. Willis was arrested without incident and charged with Speeding, License To Be In Possession, DUI 1st, & Trafficking In Marijuana Over 5 pounds 1st Offense . Mr. Willis was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
