Injury Crash US 431 in Muhlenberg County

South Carrollton, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Tiffiny Kirk age 28 of Central City, KY was operating a GMC pickup truck northbound on US 431. Mary Harris age 62 of Central City, KY was operating a Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on US 431. As Ms. Kirk was traveling northbound, she reached to retrieve an item that had fallen off the dashboard. As she was reaching, her vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and struck Ms. Harris' vehicle head-on. The passenger in Ms. Kirk's vehicle, Brent Jones age 31 of Bremen, KY, was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Ms. Kirk reported no injuries. Ms. Harris had a possible minor injury, but was not transported. All subjects were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Brandon McPherson investigated the crash that occurred on September 11, 2007 at 10:55 a.m. The Central City Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
