DUI Injury Crash on KY 70 in Hopkins County

(Hopkins County) - Mr. Tommy Carneal was traveling eastbound on KY 70 near the Hopkins/Muhlenberg County line. Mr. David S. Orange was traveling westbound on KY 70 near the Hopkins/Muhlenberg County line. Mr. Carneal for unknown reasons was traveling in Mr. Orange's lane on the roadway. Mr. Orange applied his brakes and came to a stop on the far right side of his lane in an attempt to avoid being struck by Mr. Carneal. Mr. Carneal's vehicle struck Mr. Orange's vehicle head-on causing severe damage to both vehicles. Mr. Carneal, Mrs. Orange, and her juvenile daughter were all transported to RMC for possible injuries in the accident. Mr. Carneal was arrested and charged with Operating Motor Vehicle under Influence of Alcohol 1st Offense (Aggravating Circumstances).
