Felony Drug Arrest in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 08/28/2007

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Trooper Brandon McPherson and Trooper Jerry Knight were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint at the intersection of the KY 189 By-Pass and Crittenden Drive. Lincoln Hart age 23 of Nebo, KY proceeded to the checkpoint at which time Trooper McPherson detected an odor of marijuana coming from Mr. Hart's vehicle. After further investigation and by administering field sobriety tests, it was determined that Mr. Hart was under the influence of drugs. Trooper McPherson arrested Mr. Hart. A search of his vehicle revealed marijuana, methadone, and items of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Hart was arrested without incident and charged with the following offenses:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense
  2. Possession of Marijuana
  3. Possession Drug Paraphernalia 2nd or Greater Offense
  4. Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs etc. 1st Offense
  5. No Registration Plates
  6. No Registration Receipt

He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Jail.
