Injury Crash on US 41 in Mortons Gap, KY

Date of News Release: 08/06/2007

Mortons Gap, KY (Hopkins County) - Tara Cardwell age 24 of Manitou, KY was operating a 2005 Toyota Corolla northbound on US 41. She was attempting to make a left turn into Hopkins County Central High School. Eric Gamble age 22 of Madisonville, KY was operating a 2003 GMC Sonoma pickup truck southbound on US 41. Ms. Cardwell turned into the path of Mr. Gamble and the two vehicles collided. The passenger in Ms. Cardwell's vehicle, Kara Miller age 23 of Island, KY, was transported by ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported. All subjects were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Nick Rice investigated the crash that occurred on August 6, 2007 at 7:40 a.m. The Medical Center Ambulance Service and Nortonville Fire & Rescue assisted at the scene.
