Troopers From KSP Madisonville Post Receive Awards

(Madisonville, KY) - Three troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville received awards at a special ceremony held May 23 in Louisville.
Trooper William C. Braden, II, Sgt. Bobby Murray and Trooper Jason Newby were awarded the Trooper's Medal, which is bestowed upon officers of the Kentucky State Police who perform a life-saving act under extraordinary circumstances.
A resident of Providence, Ky., Trooper Braden is a six-year KSP veteran and a 1997 graduate of Webster County High School. He is the son of Ron and Mary Lou Braden of Providence.
A resident of Slaughters, Ky., Sgt. Murray is an eight-year KSP veteran.
Trooper Newby is a resident of Hopkinsville. He is a seven-year KSP veteran and a 1994 graduate of Christian County High School.
