Injury Crash on Western Kentucky Parkway in Dawson Springs, KY

Dawson Springs, KY (Hopkins County) - Annette L. Powell age 46 of Kuttawa, KY was operating a 2001 Ford Focus SE eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. Patrick A. Beasley age 27 of Louisville, KY was operating a 2006 International tractor-trailer eastbound the Western Kentucky Parkway. As Ms. Powell attempted to pass Mr. Beasley's vehicle, her vehicle struck a pool of water causing her to lose control. Ms. Powell's vehicle struck a tire on Mr. Baesley's trailer. Her vehicle then exited the roadway and traveled into the median where it came to rest. Mr. Beasley was able to stop his vehicle. Ms. Powell was transported by a private vehicle to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Beasley was not injured. Both subjects were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Lloyd Ray investigated the crash that occurred on April 11, 2007 at 7:05 a.m. Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
