Injury Crash on KY 838 in Crittenden County

Crittenden County - James S. Barnes age 47 of Lola, KY was operating a 1988 Toyota Camry westbound on KY 838 when he dropped off the shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Barnes overcorrected and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle exited off the roadway and overturned several times as it traveled down an embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its top down the embankment. A person traveling by discovered the crash at approximately 7:00 a.m. this morning (April 4th). Mr. Barnes was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Chris Smith is investigating the crash that occurred on April 3, 2007 at 10:30 p.m. The Salem Fire Department, Livingston County EMS and PHI Air Ambulance assisted at the scene.
