Rape Arrest in Hopkinsville, KY

Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) - On Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers from the Kentucky State Police arrested Kary A. Watts age 29 of Hopkinsville, KY at the Greenville Road Auto Salvage in Hopkinsville. KSP Detective Lonnie Kavanaugh had arrest warrants for Mr. Watts on the charges of Rape 2nd Degree and Rape 3rd Degree. The charges stem from an investigation conducted by Detective Kavanaugh in which Mr. Watts is accused of having sexual intercourse with a juvenile. Mr. Watts was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center. Tpr. Mark Franklin and Tpr. Jason Newby assisted Detective Kavanaugh.
