Failure To Comply With Sex Offender Registry Arrest

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On Monday, March 19, 2007 at approximately 6:46 p.m., the Kentucky State Police arrested Luke D. Hughes age 25 for failing to register with the Sex Offender Registry. Mr. Hughes had been non-compliant for approximately three (3) months.

Authorities near Williamsport, Pennsylvania located Mr. Hughes. He was extradited to Kentucky. The Kentucky State Police Aircraft Section flew Mr. Hughes to the Muhlenberg County Airport where Tpr. Timmy Jewell arrested him. Mr. Hughes was then transported to the Muhlenberg County Detention Center where he was lodged. He was charged with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry 1st Offense which is a class D Felony.
