Injury Crash on KY 139 in Caldwell County

Date of News Release: 03/08/2007

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - Steven Young age 48 of Lafayette, TN was operating a 2007 International tractor-trailer northbound on KY 139. The tractor-trailer was hauling 11 rolls of paper with each roll weighing approximately 4000 pounds. As Mr. Young was traveling northbound, the vehicle dropped off the right side of the roadway. Mr. Young overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The tractor-trailer crossed both lanes of travel and overturned on its passenger side blocking both lanes. Mr. Young was treated for an injury to his head at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt. The roadway was cleared at 12:05 p.m. and both lanes are now open. Tpr. Mike Ray investigated the crash that occurred on March 8, 2007 at 7:50 a.m. Princeton Fire & Rescue, Caldwell County EMS and the Kentucky Highway Department assisted at the scene.
