Injury Crash on KY 181 in Bremen, KY Becomes a Fatality

Bremen, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On February 22, 2007 at approximately 11:50 a.m. CST, Tiffany Holland succumbed to her injuries and passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. The crash remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.

Bremen, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Theresa Faughender age 38 of Greenville, KY was operating a 1999 Saturn Coupe southbound on KY 181. Eric Phelps age 29 of Central City, KY was operating a 1999 Dodge Stratus eastbound on KY 2551 when he failed to stop at the intersection. Phelps´ vehicle struck Faughender´s vehicle on the front, passenger side door causing both vehicles to exit the east side of the intersection. Phelps´ passenger, Jennifer McClure age 25 of Central City, KY, was transported by a personal vehicle to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Eric Phelps was not injured. Ms. Faughender was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries. She was later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Faughender´s passenger, Tiffany Holland age 16 of Bremen, KY, was transported by Air Evac to Deaconess Hospital and was listed in serious condition. All subjects involved were wearing seatbelts. Tpr. Lloyd Ray investigated the crash that occurred on February 21, 2007 at 5:45 p.m. Tpr. Timmy Jewell, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff´s Department, the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department, Muhlenberg County EMS and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
