Receiving Stolen Property Over $300 Arrest in White Plains, KY

White Plains, KY (Hopkins County) - On February 2, 2007 at approximately 8:13 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville received a call in reference to a theft of copper wiring from Whitco Enterprises Inc. located on US 62 in White Plains. At approximately 8:34 a.m., KSP units arrived at the scene. Once there, units followed tracks where the copper wire was drug through the snow. The tracks led the officers to a residence on Concord Drive. Outside of the residence officers located the stolen copper wire. Arrested at the residence was Curtis W. Camplin age 27 of White Plains, KY. Mr. Camplin was charged with Receiving Stolen Property Over $300 and Failure to Appear. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center. Tpr. Jerry Knight was the investigating officer. Captain Leslie Gannon and Sgt. Ryan Dawson assisted him at the scene.
