Injury Crash on US 62 in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 01/30/2006

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Emily N. Edwards age 32 of Powderly, KY was operating a 1997 Cadillac eastbound on US 62. Steven Liles age 36 of Greenville, KY was operating a 1987 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck westbound on US 62. For an undetermined reason, Edwards' vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and struck Liles' vehicle head-on. Emily Edwards and her passenger, Christopher Sparks age 20 of Greenville, KY, were transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Neither was wearing a seatbelt. Steven Liles was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt. Tpr. Craig Engler is investigating the crash that occurred on January 30, 2007 at 12:50 p.m. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, Greenville Police Department, Greenville Fire Department, Graham Fire Department, Muhlenberg County EMS and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
